    I’m Emily Harding (but you can call me Ems) (@ems.harding) founder of The Joyful Wild and your no-BS guide to get you back to your mat. I’ve been teaching yoga in the very chaotic, competitive city of London for nearly a decade, but my own practice started the way a lot of yours probably did - with YouTube videos, awkward wobbles, and wondering what the hell I was doing. So I’m uniquely well placed to know how practicing yoga online at home can feel when you’re new-ish to it.

    I’m a skier, (now, ex) marathon-runner, and hybrid city-outdoors lover who is passionate about using yoga as an incredible tool to help protect my body from injury, and find joy even in the mundane. I’ve trained in ashtanga, vinyasa, power, rocket, yin, breathwork, mindfulness and meditation, taught thousands of people in London, online, at festivals and worked with some of the biggest brands and names like Gymshark (you can find x2 classes of mine on their app!), Adidas London (I was one of the core teachers for Adidas London for over 5+ years), Google and so many more.

    I intuitively know how to make you feel seen, heard and cared for, and I make yoga feel human, rather than performative. I was never a dancer, or a gymnast, so I don’t say “oh JUST move your leg here…” - I know what it’s like to have to learn how to move your body. I strive to bridge the gap between the ancient wisdom of its roots with the reality of modern life in the west, so you can actually use it's powerful lessons - not just once a week in a candlelit studio, but when you’re stressed at your desk, knackered after a run, or trying not to lose your mind in the supermarket queue.

  • This is yoga without diet culture, punishment, or performance.

    No chasing a “yoga body” nonsense. No pretending that drinking green juice will fix your problems. Just honest, practical, playful practices that remind you how good it feels to be in your body again, and how very lucky you are to be alive.
